Up to 2,000 pints sold at Goose Stock 2017!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make our annual beer and music festival – Goose Stock 2017 – a fantastic success. More than 600 people turned up, sinking up to 2,000 pints and countless spirits, enjoying a hog roast, BBQ and entertainment by our four tremendous bands: The Lucky 88’s! The Mystery Room, Hungry Grass and Tequila Mocking Bird.

We sold out of all our guest ales from: Gower, Grey Trees, Untapped, Wye Valley, Cotleigh and Butcombe breweries and are looking forward to next year’s event.

“Rhiannon, Morgan and I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who helped at Goose Stock 2017,” said one of the Goose & Cuckoo’s landladies Sue Finch.

“It reads like an Oscar acceptance speech, but we would like to thank Morgan for all his hard work, running the bar and sourcing an outstanding selection of ales. Haf, Joe and Dean and Jenny who helped serve at the bars and Jenny’s boyfriend Kane for all his hard work. My grandson Bailey and his friend James for collecting glasses along with Michelle and Phil the Gas who did a whole stack of washing. We are also extremely grateful to our next door neighbour Miriam, who was an absolute star in the kitchen. Thanks also to Kyle Williams from Hendre Glyn Farm for an amazing hog roast and my son Jon for doing the BBQ as well as Steve who did the sound for the amazing bands. Thanks also to all our regulars and everyone who turned up. If we’ve left anyone out we apologise, we couldn’t have made it the success it was without you and look forward to doing it all again next year!”
