Goose Stock 2019 – Music & Beer Festival
Join us this bank holiday weekend for our annual music and beer festival, Goose Stock 2019!
Taking place from 12pm on Sunday 25th August at our beautifully located pub, we will be hosting live bands and serving the finest guest ales as well as a tasty outdoor BBQ.
We have live music from…
12:30pm – 1:45pm
Start your afternoon off with The Filmores and a bunch of classic upbeat covers that are sure to get you dancing and grooving with sets of rock, pop and blues!
2pm – 3:15pm:
Summer Wine join us to perform some classic rock, pop and blues with an R&B flavour from the 50s right through until today. They even have a few ‘self-written’ numbers and something to everyone’s taste!
3:30pm – 5pm
Our third band of the festival, Whiskey River will be here with the hottest foot-stompin’ zydeco, blues, Cajun, bluegrass and country rock around!
5pm – onwards
Local alternative rock band the Rhythm Method join us as the final outdoor act of the day to finish off Goose Stock 2019 with a bang!

Country rock and blues trio from Monmouthshire, Snow on the Mountain will be playing inside the Goose from 7pm.

Very hoppy, bitter, smooth. Brewed with an incredible amount of aroma hops and heavily dry hops. A hint of oats has been added to the grain bill, softening the bitterness.

4.6% American IPA
All american hepta-hopped IPA. Underpinned by a big malt character with a bitter tropical citrus finish.

3.6% Golden ale
A fine golden ale, carefully crafted using pale and crystal malts and a blend of aromatic hops to produce a refreshing and full flavour. The perfect thirst-quencher.

Darkside of the Moose
5.0% Dark Chesnut Ale
A delicious dark ale brewed from Welsh mountain water and natural ingredients. Using a delicate blend of dark crystal malt, roasted barley and Bramling Cross hops, the ‘Dark Side’ exhibits a rich malty flavour balanced with fruity bitterness.
Grey Trees / Purple Moose Collaboration
5.0% Extra special bitter
A golden Welsh extra special bitter, brewed with Apollo and Endeavor hops in a collaboration by two of Wales’ finest breweries, Grey Trees and Purple Moose.
4.2% Best Bitter
A smooth bitterness and aroma with a fresh fruity finish, crafted with Crystal Malt and roasted barley, Bramling Cross and Golding hops, Welsh water and Grey Trees’ passion.
The Rev. James
4.5% Malty Best Bitter
Rev. James Original is rich and well-balanced with a mellow malty flavour that unexpectedly gives way to a clean, refreshing finish.
3.8% Traditional Bitter
Originally brewed in 1879, Hobby Horse is a long lasting and popular beer. A hand crafted ale to awaken and re-kindle your senses.
